Scholarship Description: Scholarships are only available for accredited courses
at UK universities. International students who are or who will be studying in
the UK are welcome to apply.
-You must supply full, correct details of your selected university (e.g.
€ ¢â’ ’¸Manchester Metropolitan€ ¢â’ ’¹, not € ¢â’ ’¸MMU€ ¢â’ ’¹), degree type and course title (e.g. € ¢â’ ’¸BEng

H600). If you are not sure of any of these, please check with the university.
Applications with incomplete or incorrect course details will not be accepted.
-Date of commencement is the month and year you started or propose to start the
degree course (not including foundation years).
-If you are not already at university, please scan and send any documentation
from UCAS or your chosen university which confirms registration on your degree
course.
-If you do not require a visa to study in the UK, you may apply for an
undergraduate scholarship for degree courses starting in 2011. If you have not
yet applied to universities and are applying for a scholarship to start in 2011,
you must still complete the full details of the degree course for which you
intend to apply, in order to enable the Panel to make an in-principle decision.

Master Thesis Position for a Research Project in collaboration between:

We are calling for applications from highly motivated individuals to conduct
research at the level of masters or as a paid internship in a collaborative
project between the Laboratory of Behavioral Genetics (Prof. Carmen Sandi) and
the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience (Prof. Olaf Blanke), at the Brain Mind
Institute, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL),
Switzerland.
The project involves translational work to expand our observations in rodent
behavior to human paradigms. The project aims at setting up experimental
conditions to assess the establishment of social hierarchies in humans and to
test the impact of social hierarchies on different behavioral tasks. The final
goal will be to complement the developed tasks with imaging and/or virtual
reality approaches.
The candidate should have a good background on either psychology (preferred) or
behavioral neuroscience. Interest in bridging these two fields and previous
experience with social psychology approaches would be an asset.
Good knowledge of English and French is desirable.
The project duration is six months to one year with a possibility for financial
support. Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and letter of
